When she’s not visiting her shrink for her anger management issues, she’s using her photographic memory to solve crimes. Convinced of Tyrek’s guilt, she resents his constant meddling in the case. But as the weeks drag on with no leads in sight, Persia reluctantly accepts Tyrek’s help. She doesn’t trust him as far as she can throw him, and worse yet, she doesn’t trust the way her body ignites whenever she sees him.
Giving into their carnal desires only makes things worse. Can these two control their feelings long enough to find the real killer? Or will lust cloud their judgment?

Delay of Game was a really good read. It has a sexy, football Star, murder, great leading lady and suspense...who could ask for anything more? Tyrek finds himself accused of murder and attracted to the lead detective much to the dismay of both them. Persia is the seemingly hard behind detective assigned to the case. There is instant sexual attraction, personality conflicts, and a murder mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It is well written and laugh out loud funny. I wish it had an epilogue(selfish) with the HEA, I love. That was the reason for the 4 star rating. The hopeless romantic in me needed that HEA for the 5th Star. Other than that...really enjoyed Tyrek and Persia`s journey. (3RW TEAM YELLOW REVIEW).Product details

Excellent read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Tyrek and Persia were from totally different social backgrounds. However, pairing made for a great match. They balanced each other. I recommend this book.
Cute read. Nice chemistry between Tyrek and Persia. Their banter was comical and kept the story interesting. I did think the ending could have been a but more creative in terms of who the perp was. I thought it would have been someone closer to Tyrek. Other than that I enjoyed the book.
Tyrek is a famous athlete who has a reputation of being a party animal and playboy. He doesnt have any problem getting a woman. After one of his parties he finds a woman dead in his bathroom. In comes Persia the hardnose detective who is investigating this murder. Persia is truly a ball of fire and could hold her own. However Tyrek feels the LAPD is not doing their job. Tyrek begin to investigate on his own.
There is plenty of mystery, suspense, murder, crime and undeniable love to keep you turning the pages.
This was a good read. The book was well written as the story had a nice flow. Those who read "the Highest Bidder" get to catch up with Tristan and Alexa. I would definitely recommend.
This was the follow-up story to Highest Bidder. This was Tyrek Powers story. The star QB for the California Predators was the consummate party animal. That was until he was charged with murder when he found a dead body in his master bed room tub, the day after one of his infamous galas. The detective in charge of the investigation was determined to prove the pretty rich guy's guilt upon meeting him. Along the way his guilt became less apparent and her desire for him became overly magnified. In turn, this greatly exaggerated her former disdainful attitude towards Tyrek. Detective Persia Banks was a spitfire, former track star who cussed like a sailor and was ordered to under go anger management counseling. Although she was a top notch detective she was still a woman, and resisting Tyrek would prove to be her greatest challenge. The murder mystery part of the story dragged at times, and the whodunnit reveal did not flow with the story. It almost felt like a mandated word count precipitated the sudden conclusion. Overall the story was a good read.
